Cove hardwood forests greet you with streams and creeks. Higher up, rhododendrons, mountain laurel, mixed oak-pine, spruce-fir, and, at intervals, expansive grasslands take your breath away.
Wild Bear Falls Water Park
The Wild Bear Falls Water Park can be your first stop – a less than 10 minutes from the cabin. A day-long visit feels like it sped too quickly in this mountain-themed aquatic park. The heated pool and the meandering river fit right into your woodsy holiday. The town of Gatlinburg is a little further down, a 5-minute drive from the cabin.
Pigeon Forge, known for country music, Smoky Mountain Opry, themed dinner theatres, and outlets malls are all within a driving distance of 15 minutes. With kids in tow, check out Ripley’s Aquarium of the Smokies. Watch as the little bubs squeal and scamper following sea turtles, stingrays, and sharks cavort. Truly, the glass-bottom boat ride cannot be missed. Laugh your head off and shake to the music at Country Tonite Theater.
